Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers and Retailers

With a few exceptions, most cabinets found on this list come fully assembled. RTA (ready-to-assemble} cabinets are an entirely different category and can save you much money.

Like Kraftmaid, another huge kitchen cabinet manufacturer available through easy-to-access channels, such as your local kitchen remodel/design company. Merillat, a Michigan-based company, is owned by Masco, which also owns Mill’s Pride and Kraftmaid. Merillat’s Inspiration Gallery ?of kitchen design ideas is highly recommended.

Kraftmaid is the “big dog” of kitchen cabinets. Go to your local Home Depot or Lowe’s, and you will find Kraftmaid stock kitchen cabinets on the shelves. But you will also find Kraftmaid semi-custom kitchen cabinets offered at kitchen design companies. In recent years, Kraftmaid has enriched their product lines to appeal to all tastes. If your view of Kraftmaid is more than five years old, you may be surprised by what you find today.

Snaidero USA
Named after founder and CEO Dario Snaidero, kitchen cabinet company Snaidero USA makes high-end, Euro-styled cabinetry (among other products) for the U.S. market. It is rumored, too, that Snaidero makes IKEA’s kitchen cabinets.

While technically not a kitchen cabinet manufacturer, IKEA is such a huge distributor of kitchen cabinets (and primary manufacturers are unknown, though Snaidero USA is reportedly one of IKEA’s sources), we feel safe including them in this list. IKEA “makes” high-style, low-cost, oddly-named kitchen cabinets.

Artistic Cabinetry
Based in Smithtown, NY and run by Alex Pfitzer, Artistic Cabinetry has been producing traditional, country, and contemporary cabinets since 1975.

Porcelanosa does more than make kitchen cabinets. They also deal with bathrooms and tile. But in the kitchen, Porcelanosa excels in the manufacture of sleek, smooth European-style cabinetry. It also does manufacturer more traditional styles of cabinetry, as well. Based in Spain, Porcelanosa runs a tight ship with over 400 showrooms across the globe–entirely company-owned.

All Wood Cabinetry
All Wood Cabinetry is the name of the company and yes, the name of the product, too (except for one offering which is MDF/thermofoil and which they indicate). Florida-based AWC makes plywood-core cabinets for kitchen and bathroom, most in classic, traditional styles–nothing ultra-Euro here. AWC is also notable because they are the supplier for Costco cabinets. To access Costco deals, do not use the link provided here; instead, go through the Costco site. As you might expect, great bargains can be found with Costco cabinets.
